PDO threads are made of polydioxanone, a material used in medical sutures for decades that dissolves on its own. Lifting threads have tiny barbs that hold the tissue when placed under the skin, so the cheek or jaw is repositioned. Smooth threads add collagen and firmness. As the threads dissolve, the skin builds collagen around them.

Does it hurt?
The area is numbed first; most clients feel pressure and pulling rather than pain.
Will it look pulled?
No. The lift is planned to look natural and settles over one to two weeks.
What if it is not for me?

How long does the result last?
Typically around a year or more, depending on the threads and your skin. Results vary.
What is the downtime?
Some swelling, tightness and possibly bruising for a few days to two weeks. Avoid wide mouth movements and facial massage for a while.
How many threads will I need?
Usually four to six threads for the cheeks or jawline, six to eight for a mid-facelift. We confirm your plan at the consultation.
Thread lift or XERF?
Threads reposition the tissue; XERF tightens the skin with radiofrequency. The consultation decides, sometimes both.
