A diode laser sends light into the hair's pigment, where it turns to heat and disables the follicle. Primelase does this with high power through a large, cooled applicator, so each pass covers more skin and stays comfortable. Does it hurt?
Warmth and a light snap, with the cooled applicator on the skin. Most clients find it easy.
Is it permanent?
Treated follicles do not grow back; a few dormant ones can appear later and are caught with a maintenance session. Results vary.
What if it is not for me?
Very light or grey hair does not hold enough pigment for a laser. We tell you plainly at the consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
A series spaced a few weeks apart, usually six to eight for most areas. We confirm your plan at the consultation.
How do I prepare?
Shave the area the day before, and avoid waxing, plucking and sun on the area in the weeks before your session.
Is there any downtime?
No. A little pink for an hour or two, then back to your day.
